FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
With so many socks out there what makes Wrightsock better than the rest?
It’s all about our Double Layer® Anti-Blister System™. This innovative design creates the perfect environment to prevent hot spots and blisters. Here's how it works:
- Friction? Absorbed by the interaction of two layers, sparing your skin.
- Moisture? The inner layer wicks it away from your foot.
- Heat? Reduced by quick moisture removal, keeping your feet cool and comfortable.
With Wrightsock, you get dry, happy feet—and no blisters, guaranteed.
What is the Blister-Free Guarantee?
If blisters ever sneak through or you’re not completely satisfied with our Double Layer socks, we’ve got your back. Head to our warranty page for step-by-step guidance.
Where can I buy Wrightsock products?
You can shop Wrightsock right here on our website! Alternatively, there is a range of fabulous specialty outdoor retailers across NZ, but we recommend calling ahead to check if they have the model you are interested in.
How should I wash my Wrightsock performance socks?
For best results:
- Turn them inside out.
- Machine wash in warm water with non-bleach detergent.
- Avoid bleach and liquid fabric softeners.
- Tumble dry with no heat—or air dry, thanks to our quick-drying fabric.
Pro Tip: Too much heat can shrink the fibres, so keep it cool for long-lasting socks.
Where are Wrightsock products made?
Every Wrightsock is proudly made in the USA at our family-owned Wrightenberry Hosiery Mill in Burlington, North Carolina. We’ve been manufacturing here since 1948, staying true to our American roots.
What size Wrightsock should I buy?
Our size chart is based on your shoe size. Let it guide you to the perfect fit.
How tall are your socks? (add icon images)
- Crew length: Reaches the bottom of your calf.
- Quarter length: Sits just above your ankle bone.
- Lo quarter: Falls on or just below the ankle bone.
- Tab style: The lowest cut, sitting just above the top of your shoe with an extended heel tab to protect against Achilles rub.
Will Wrightsocks slip inside my shoes?
Not if you’ve got the right size! Look for the YHeel gore in the heel pocket of your sock—it should point to the back corner of your heel. If it’s under your heel, the sock is too short and might slip.
What is the difference between the colours of the socks?
We have a range of designs to suit your activity. Within a range are often a variety of colours. The difference between the colours is your sense of style. Some days just feel a little more neon than others. Select colours to suit your vibe.
How long will my Wrightsocks last?
While mileage varies, we recommend replacing your socks whenever you replace your running shoes. Here’s a general guide:
- Running socks: Every 400–800 kilometres (which is about the lifespan of most running shoes).
- Light hiking cushioned socks: At the start of each new hiking season.
With proper care, Wrightsock is designed to keep you moving blister-free for as long as possible!
